A foggy spring morning on Otago Harbour is not a common occurrence. Normally it doesn't last very long here either. The mountains and the islands in the channel were quickley revealed during the brief period when the fog lifted. This photo was taken at Company Bay looking towards Goat Island. I took this photo while I was on my way to Allans Beach on the opposite side of the Otago Peninsula. Timing was the key as the fog lifted rapidly. Less than 15 minutes earlier the entire harbour had been completely enveloped.
