Photographers Love Light

I took this photo during a visit to Queenstown using a very small and simple digital camera. It is one of my very earliest photos and still one of my favourites. This handheld shot was taken with a Sony P92 5 megapixel digital camera. Posted by Picasa

Time To Let Go

Time to reflect and unwind from all the daily grind. When the mist rolls in each inlet and bay takes on magical properties.Posted by Picasa

A Safe Haven

Otago Harbour has many sheltered bays along the length of the peninsula. Boatowners frequently moor their yachts in these inlets as they provide convenient access and excellent refuge from the elements.Posted by Picasa

Play Misty For Me

A foggy spring morning on Otago Harbour is not a common occurrence. Normally it doesn't last very long here either. The mountains and the islands in the channel were quickley revealed during the brief period when the fog lifted. This photo was taken at Company Bay looking towards Goat Island. I took this photo while I was on my way to Allans Beach on the opposite side of the Otago Peninsula. Timing was the key as the fog lifted rapidly. Less than 15 minutes earlier the entire harbour had been completely enveloped.Posted by Picasa

Another stunning view of the Otago Peninsula from Mt Cargill captured at the height of summer. Posted by Picasa

View From The Top

On a very sunny day the view from Mt Cargill can be stunning with huge panoramic views of the Otago Peninsula, the city of Dunedin and the Otago hinterland stretching for miles. Posted by Picasa

On Our Doorstep

This wonderful beach scene looks miles away from anywhere but it is in fact on the doorstep of Dunedin. Hard to believe but we take it for granted here. Posted by Picasa
